With all the photography projects running, I had to postpone my most beloved project The Miracles of Polaroid, the most Instantly Loved one, if you wish [smile] On February 10, 2013, I started it with my “Magic Camera”: Polaroid Pronto! Sonar OneStep (1978).
As it’s been announced in the project’s pilot post Polaroid: A Miracle Of Modern Science Is Back!, I was going to share moments of my life captured in white frames of a little square film. And, soon enough, I had published The Miracles Of Polaroid: Girl With A Red Hat, the post with the first miracle frames, and explained the challenges Polaroid instant photography is facing these days.
This spring/summer I finished two packs of an old Polaroid film, I had been telling you about in a previous post. Today I am glad to share a few captured miracles of Two Blooming Trees, An Aspiring Young Photo Model Dee Dee, and Two Cars in the Old Car City USA. I still can’t believe these images have been produced by Polaroid film, expired almost six years ago (in May 2008).
Good news: I have purchased a new PX-70 Color film from The Impossible (see my previous posts for details) and started taking photos for this project again! Stay tuned, Miracles happen!

Memo, oh how you tug at the heart strings with this post. *sniffle* *wipes away tear*
Polaroids are fantastic and the ones I miss most are the ones you had to time and then peel back the cover/developer/sheet thingy. You used to be able to get frames and even scalloped edges and if you interrupted the finishing process a little early, you could play with the chemicals and get an entirely different effect.

Now, when I’ve finished reading your comment, Maria, I sniffle and wipe away tears… Thank you very much!

Aww, polaroids. I love them. Always used to carry my dad’s camera around with me when I was little. I love the old fashioned, faded look of the photos.

Thanks, Tammy! I am in love with the faded look too :) This is the look of the expired Polaroid 600 film. I am currently working with a new film by The Impossible. And, honestly, I would prefer the expired Polaroid. Will post the scans of a new film soon ;)

The slightly faded and hazy look of the trees is an excellent reminder that not all images have to be (or should be) razor sharp and highly saturated, even in this digital age.
