Once a beauty, now a beast. What story would these vintage cars and trucks tell if they could talk? Would they tell about the Golden Times of American auto industry? or about the road trips around the United States made with their owners? or would they tell about the hard farm work on peanut fields and cotton plantations of Georgia? We are back to Old Car City USA, a vintage car junkyard-museum, where 4,000 plus mostly American Classic automobiles left abandoned and taken over by nature.

Fantastic series. I love old cars. Have a junkyard nearby and just love wandering through it. We even owned that station wagon, growing up. :) Very much enjoyed, Alex.

Thanks for stopping by, Erin! That station wagon is not a car, it is a ship! I have not seen it in person before… Amazingly huge!

A great series, Alex, but if I had to single out a particular image to comment on, it would be the third one, for the composition and colour contrasts.

Thanks, Andrew. The Italian FIAT is in the photo you like. I was surprised to see it on on the junkyard since I have never seen vintage FIAT cars in the USA. They returned to the US market a couple of years ago.

Love the old dashboards – just don’t make them like that any more. Also miss the triangle shaped windows that were so wonderful on warm days.

I hear you, Maria! The old dashboards are the most beautiful parts of vintage cars!

Another interesting photo collection from the car graveyard.I like all the images you shared with us by I’m amazed by the photo of the car garage with a car on a rooftop.
Marisol@TravelingSolemates recently posted..Langa Township: The Different Side of Cape Town
Thanks, Marisol! There are several garages at the junkyard. This one is left “as is” for decades.

They don’t look like beasts at all to me, more like sleeping beauties :)

I thought it was a name you made up but checked them out and this place is going in my bucket list. They have a little video on their site as well. What an idea to have these amazing autos out there in the nature. Thanks for these lovely pictures. These really serve well to the name of the blog.
Thanks for stopping by, Memati. Yes, you should visit Old Car City USA.
