Old Car City USA is a junkyard-museum located in White, Georgia, 50 miles (80 km) north of Downtown Atlanta. The business started out as a store in 1931 by the parents of its current owner Dean Lewis, the sweetest Southern man and an artist himself (make sure you visit Dean’s Art Gallery). These days, 34 acres (14 hectares) junkyard became a graveyard to 4,000+ cars, mostly vintage American cars dated from 1910’s to 1970’s. The Old Car City USA claims to be the largest of its kind in the world, and, definitely, it is a must-see attraction in Atlanta. Don’t miss it if you can! The museum has been on my travel list for a while… I am so happy I finally visited it today. It’s a great place to roam around with a photo camera in hands, even on a rainy day [wink].

Oh wow, this is interesting. I expected the car to be neatly lined up for everyone to checkout. I liked the beautiful state of disarray and how nature and cars meshed together. Really beautiful, atmospheric images. What a unique place to photograph. I could tell you were like a kid in the candy store:)

More like a kid in the “spoiled candy” store, Marisol [smile] I wish all these cars were drivable. It’s a very unique and sad place. Thanks for stopping by!

Those cars are so expensive and beautiful nowadays. It hurts my feelings seeing those rutting to death.
