Memo, this is one of my favorite things. It moves slowly so you get a ton of photo opportunities and it’s amazing to look out over the whole of London, viewing the old and new architecture. Going with a local heightens the moment as they’ll be able to point out structures and history you might miss otherwise.

I am terrified of heights, but I managed to ride the London Eye back in 2004… there was a crazy Italian family in the pod with me, pushing their way to get the best views. I was happy to just sit back and let the ride take place. I had no need to push and shove in that tiny glass container.

I hear you, Colleen. There is always a “crazy family” in touristy spots… I had a similar experience on Eiffel Tower 5 years ago :) Happy Holidays!

Some very impressive views, Alex. I wouldn’t have been so brave to go up there myself!
