The first trip to South America was different from other international trips in many ways. The most important change was made to my photo equipment. I had to leave my “big-n-black” Nikon D-SLR gear at home, and took with me a “little-n-black” compact camera Leica D-Lux 6. Overall, I was satisfied with Leica’s performance during entire travel. It is a very convenient street photography tool (light, handy, fast f/1.4). One of new camera’s beneficial modes is “Panorama shot”. You push a button and move a camera, it takes multiple photos and stitches them together. Easy. In this post, I share some of the panoramas taken in Peru and Chile. Note, the “angle-of-view” of these images is close to 180 degrees.
