expressions speak volumes through the lens of a camera. I am curious though, is rosacea a dominant skin condition in Peru. almost everyone seems to have bright rosy cheeks.

Thanks, Natasha!
I wouldn’t say so about rosacea decease. Peruvians have darker skin b/c they live at high altitudes (about 4,000 meters). However, some people I have met on the floating islands had “rosy cheeks”.

dark skin does not protect one from rosacea :) i am willing to bet they have this skin condition ….

No bets, Natasha :) I am just saying that “rosy” skin tone on the pics may be a natural skin color.
The two women looking in opposite directions – hands down my fav. Did you ask them to pose for that? If not you were in the right place at exactly the right time. Nicely done :-D

Thanks, Maria! No, I didn’t ask those women to pose :) That’s a candid street photo taken from a taxi. The ladies even don’t know that their photo has been taken and they have become famous ;)
You have such a great way of capturing the personalities of all the people in your photographs! I would LOVE to know what the man in the first picture has experienced in his life…he looks so soulful!

Thanks, Jess. Street Portraits is my favorite part of Travel Photography. And, yes, I also would love to hear the old man’s stories.

This is a charming series, Alex. I’m particularly taken by the one with the chicken, as this is quite a unique composition. The following one has that very interesting perspective feature of the wall in the background, which gives it a special look, too. The final image came as quite a surprise!

Thank you, Andrew. Agree with you on two first points (chicken and wall). Regarding the third, my goal was to surprise you with the last photo :) So, agreed too!
