As in the first photo post from my trip to the Acropolis of Athens, The Land of Gods and Goddesses, to help our imagination, I start this article with the image of reconstructed Acropolis done by graphic designers of the movie Hercules.

The Acropolis of Athens in Greece is the complex of temples located on an extremely rocky outcrop above the city of Athens. It contains the remains of several ancient buildings of great architectural and historic significance, the most famous being the Parthenon, served as a temple to Athena, the Aegean goddess, who presided over household crafts and protected the king.

***Just FYI,

It can get very crowded when tourists from the Mediterranean cruises start arriving after 10AM. Try to get there early in the morning by the gate opening time.
