Happy Old New Year, Belarus! Today’s post is dedicated to Belarusian “Snow-maidens” [smile] All these street portraits and candid shots of cute girls and beautiful women have been taken during my EuroTrip 2013 to Minsk, Belarus. The ladies are passersby, I have met on the streets of Minsk. Believe it or not, during the entire trip no one answered “No” to me asking for a permission to photograph them or their kids. Amazingly kind those Belarusians are!

I love all these captures, they for sure bring Belarus alive. My favorite is the first one with all the pigeons around those ladies, great one.

What a unique, interesting and photogenic destination. I’m really curious about your approach, i.e. how you get all these people to enthusiastically pose for you.

I love all the faces you captured. The little girl in purple is especially cute. I need to more people photos and accept rejection if people say no.

Hi Alex, these are beautiful portraits of the snowmaidens of Belarus. I like the variety of scenes from which you capture them. But what I like most is how comfortable they all look in front of the camera. And that says a lot about the man behind the camera.
