The Smithsonian is the World’s largest museum and research complex, with 19 museums, 9 research centers and 168 affiliate museums around the world. It has over 136 million items in its collections! I didn’t plan to check out all the items on my trip to Washington :) But, I wanted to see some unique treasures, like The Hope Diamond (also known as “Le bleu de France” or “Le Bijou du Roi”), one of the largest diamonds in the World, and a few other items.

The End of Brazil Mania. Goodbye, World Cup. Thank you, Fans!
I never realised that the Smithsonian collection was so large. An interesting series here. Point of view makes the third image stand out. Reminds me of the movie, Night at the Museum, where the exhibits come to life! I’m always interested in capturing the interaction between people and art works in public spaces, and so really like what you’ve caught in the last one.

Yes, Andrew, you are right about the third photo. It looks like the exhibit comes to life :)
