This is a follow-up post containing more photos of the tiles of Escadaria Selarón photographed during my recent visit to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The Selaron Steps are covered in 2000+ tiles collected from over 60 countries around the world. Some of the tiles are hand painted by Chilean-born artist Jorge Selaron. More information and photos can be found in the first post here- The Great Madness of Jorge Selaron.

Ha, how did “Don’t Mess With Texas” make it’s way to Rio?? And what’s up the 3-breasted woman lol? Great photos, Alex :)
It’s a huge collection of tiles from all over the world! I think, I’ve photographed less than 1%. Some tiles were mailed, some delivered by tourists themselves.
Thanks for stopping by, Mike!
Ceramic tiles – I adore them.
Portugal has the famous azulejos and spain loves ceramic tiles as well.
The Selaron Steps is on my targets list when I get to Rio de Janeiro.
