In addition to a post containing photos of Selecao Fans (Brazilian football fans), today I publish a new set of street portrait photography taken on Capacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro.
The local residents of Rio de Janeiro are referred to as Cariocas. Last month, during my ‘Dreaming of Rio’ trip, I met so many happy people, made so many great friends, and photographed so many beautiful smiles that I can’t even count. Thank you, Cariocas, for the warmth, friendliness and joy of life you share! You’ve made my travel experience unforgettable. Miss you, All!

I loved your shout out to the Cariocas! Just as you always intend every picture has a story behind it for us readers to run with. I love that so much always about your blog, Alex! I will definitely take one of those sandwiches please. Of course you know which one is my obvious favorite. The first one with the gal holding the adorably cute pup! Great post, our friend :)

You have a gift of making people comfortable in front of your camera. Your subjects don’t have a disposition of being strangers to you at all. I think its a great gift because it makes your images very soulful.
