I continue the series of photo stories from my recent Tie-Bee-Island Spring Break travel. The first story was about my Orange Crush experience in the city of Tybee Island. The second post contained travel photography from a charming city of Savannah. Here is the third post, which contains street photography from the 2nd Best Southern City of America. By the way,
- USA Weekend Magazine declared Savannah one of the “top 10 Most Beautiful Places in USA”
- The New York Times named Savannah one of the “World’s Top Ten Trendy Travel Hot Spots”
- Conde Nast Traveler picked Savannah as a “Top 10 U.S City to Visit”
- Southern Living placed Savannah as second on its “Best Southern City” list
- Outlook Magazine called Savannah one of the “Top 25 Places to Live and Work”

Great introduction to a – to me – unknown city. I can’t get over the bare legs in boots trend.

Thanks for stopping by, Mette. If interested, you can see more photos of the city of Savannah here: http://memographer.com/2014/04/savannah-the-first-state-capital-of-georgia/
I can’t say much regarding “bare legs in boots”… it’s Southern Trend.

Great street photos from Savannah! To me, as someone that has never been to the USA, Savannah is the title of a song from one of my favorite bands, Relient K. I don’t know if you know them. But it’s a great song, and I guess, with your photos as my only reference to the real city (…) that I would like walking the streets.
I wish you a happy week!

Please come and walk the streets of “Baby Savannah” [wink]

I’m not a huge fan of the South, but man I love Savannah! I think most people do, actually. It’s such a beautiful city – not too big, not too small. Lots of character. Amazing food. Your pictures do a great job of capturing the local spirit.

Thanks, Dana! I hear you. I am not a big fan of the US South too [smile] But, this was my first “long” trip to the city, and I really enjoyed it.
