Happy New 2014 full of great adventures and wonderful memories!
Regarding memories, I have just finished the “Shocking Asia” photo book (Vietnam, Laos and Japan). While working on the book, I found some unpublished street photos taken in Hanoi, Vietnam. Within a couple of weeks I will publish four new posts and close the Vietnam category of Nona Hora project. So, please stay tuned for more street photography from Hanoi ;)

One thing – didn’t expect to see a Lenin statue in Vietnam! He’s all over Russia and Siberia… hehe got so used to seeing him there!

Thanks, Colleen. Vietnam has been under Soviet influence for many years. So Communist propaganda boards and statues of Lenin are common things there.

Hanoi looks so colorful. I really like the black and white photos too. Photo seven down is really unique. The little girl has an interesting look. It’s hard to tell if she’s being overly serious and trying to be like an adult or if she’s pissed off. :-)

Happy 2014! I so loved looking at this selection of photos! I’m on my way home from South East Asia myself, and these really remind me of some of the scenes I saw in Cambodia!
