This week I had to go through some of my travel photo archives and realized how many Captured Memories I still haven’t shared with you here in my Travel Photo Journal. One of the most missed photo archives is ‘Thailand’. I published only 11 photos from my trip to Thailand when transferred an old travel photo blog two years ago. What a shame! Thailand, so-called The Land of 1000 Smiles, is one of my favorite destinations in Southeast Asia. I will try to fix the gap with a few memory flashbacks, starting with this post, containing stranger portraits taken at the Streets of Bangkok, Grand Palace, Bridge Over The River Kwai, Tiger Temple, and Thai villages.

Thailand is indeed the land of the 1000 smiles and this shows really well from your photos. Again very impressive photos.

Memo – a terrific collection of portraits but the palm reader stays with me long after I’ve looked away.

Maria, for some reason I can’t get palm reader’s face out of my mind too :)
Some really interesting photos you have captured. I like the one where the cat is on your head.

These are some really beautiful images that capture the culture and the people. I can clearly see why it’s been dubbed the The Land of 1000 Smiles. I have long wanted to visited Thailand and hoping to make it there soon. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thank you, Mary! I am glad you enjoyed this set. Please stay tuned for more. I plan to publish at least three more “flashbacks” with photos from Thailand.
Strange indeed – but very fascinating. I really like the orange monks in a black and white setting.
Thank you, Mette! I love that street photo too. Agree, selective coloring really highlights monks’ robes.

I love all of the tiger pictures! And the Coca Cola in a bag. I’ve never seen that before. I’d like to invite you to link up as part of Wanderlust Wednesdays which I’m now hosting on my blog every Wednesday. See the below link for details.

Thanks, Dana! Please stay tuned for more photos of tigers. I am working on the post about Tiger Temple. If interested, check out photo teasers on my facebook page.
Regarding Coca-Cola in bags. That’s a very “green” approach. I liked it. I had seen trash cans full of empty bags… Those would easily fill out at least 5 trash cans of the same size if drinks were served in bottles or cans.
Wanderlust Wednesdays sounds great. Thanks for the offer! Please let me know what you need from me.
