In Lima, Peru I’ve stayed in Miraflores district, a few blocks from a famous Larcomar Mall built into the cliffside of the Pacific Ocean. Larcomar is a huge complex which has its own movie theater, bowling lanes, pool hall, and museum. Many Peruvian fashion designers have boutiques in Larcomar, and there are plenty of high-end jewelry and clothing stores. Larcomar has breathtaking ocean views. However, I will always remember it by numerous “Under Construction” fences installed all over the renovating place… Here is the “fashion place” under “fashionable” construction by Alexito Kay :)

Interesting to see Miraflores in the daytime because we only made it there at night during our Peru trip, one year ago.
A great mixture of shots here. I take it you’re not the Alexcito in the love declaration!

I also have a few shots of Larcomar during the nighttime, Andrew. It is as beautiful as during daytime.
You are right, I am not “Alexito” from the “love declaration” photo. However, I do love “candies” ;)

Nice shots! I skipped Lima all together. Perhaps I was too quick to judge, but then again, the weather was definitely not as good as you got. There’d have been no trips to the beach for me!

Thanks, Arianwen. I liked Lima, glad I stayed there for two days. The weather was funny during my trip. Two days it was very foggy until 2pm (visibility: 100 meters). But, I got a sunburn while walking the streets.
Oh my, I must have been to Larcomar gabazillion times and never noticed those fashionable signs! The last time I was there was in March and yes, that place ALWAYS has a section or two under construction for the past two years since I’ve been flying in and out of Lima. I do love Mango’s restaurant in there! The paragliders are always fun to watch while eating.
That’s b/c you’ve been there too many times, Antoinette ;) I took these photos in March :)
