This is the second part of the Photo Essay Sapa Vietnam and Its Tribes. During my two days trip to Sapa I rented a vintage Soviet motorcycle “Minsk” and explored the city and its outskirts. Please find more photos from this trip in the following posts:

Thanks, Callie! Yes, the last one is scary for westerners. You may wish to click on the image to see another version. We (humans) should stop eating animals.

Hmmm …. now that I’m living in the Philippines, I’ve wondered about some of the food that I’ve eaten from street vendors. You might be right about not eating animals … but that’s a bit difficult for an old goat like me.

Nice photos but the last photo is very scary :(. Thanks for sharing with us.
Thanks for stopping by, Nguyen!
Great photos. I did a trek near Sapa. I remember watching people hike up to their rice fields and thinking that they do more exercise just getting to work than the average American does all week.
PS – As a veggie myself, I’m all for photographing the scary food. Why do people empathize with some animals and not others?

You’re so right about the exercises, Jenny.
And I hear you, people eat everything that can move.

The 2 last pictures put it together really convey a message like before / after. The cute dog asleep vs the one one. You can easily see that the animal suffer with is defensive face froze in time while the seller seating with a smile. That’s cruel.
but great photos.
