I am sure that every traveler has taken at least one I Was Here! photo of him/herself – a Postcard-photo. Years ago, a traveler had to go to a post office to mail a postcard with a view of a visited place. In the era of digital photography, cellphone cameras, and Internet, especially with Wi-Fi available at any hotel and restaurant around the world, mailing of a “postcard” has become much easier.

During my trip to South America this year, I met many travelers and took a great number of their photos as part of my “I Was Here!” photo project. The idea behind is simple- One of the joys of being a traveler is to meet other travelers and make new friends.
