The photo essay from Stephansplatz, Vienna, Austria and its surrounding streets. Stephansplatz is the geographical center of Vienna named after the Stephansdom (St. Stephan’s Cathedral), the Gothic Cathedral which soars from the middle of the square. The area becomes very busy on weekends and holidays, especially during the celebration of Steffl Kirtag (Wiener Kirtag). During this year’s Wiener Kritag the streets were full of entertainment. Please click here to see more photos from Saint Stephan’s Cathedral and its Bell Tower in my other post ‘Colorful Stephansdom. Vienna, Austria’.
